Bio

Dean Chris Warden has been with Ohlone College since 2001 where he was hired as the Head Athletic Trainer and full time PE instructor.  After 6 years of teaching and working as the Athletic Trainer, he assumed the interim role of Athletic Director.  For a few years under that role, he was then promoted as the Director of Athletics, Exercise Science and Community Education.  Just a few years later he receive the title of Dean of Athletics, Exercise Science and the Newark Campus.  Currently, Chris has been serving as the Dean of Athletics, Kinesiology and Performing Arts.  The departments that are included within his division are Athletics, Broadcasting, Esports, Health, Kinesiology, Music, Physical Education, and Theatre & Dance.

Prior to Ohlone, Chris graduated High School from El Dorado (Placerville, CA) where he pursued his BS in Kinesiology: Athletic Training at Long Beach State.  After graduating from CSULB, he pursued his Masters degree in the same department at Illinois State University.

Chris has a 17 year old son who loves to play tennis and hopes to be competing for the Renegades starting in the 2024 season.  Chris has been together with his best friend and wife for 29 years and married for 25 of them.  They live in the Fremont area and love to walk/hike the hills of Mission Peak.  You'll also find them riding around on their bikes, playing Pickleball or catching a movie at the NewPark Mall AMC theaters.
