Renegades Stumble Early, Can't Recover

Ohlone hosted its first conference game of the season on Tuesday night against Las Positas.

The visitors got onto the scoreboard early through a deflected goal to take the lead 1-0, and the Renegades were never able to get back on level footing.

The game was back and forth with both teams getting multiple chances.  Las Positas had a clear-cut opportunity midway through the first half to push the lead to 2-0, but were thwarted by Ohlone goalkeeper Angel Munoz.  On the opposing side, Ohlone's best chance came in the 80th minute when Freshman Angel Vasquez had the ball fall to him 12 yards out.  A goal-line clearance from a Las Positas defender blocked his shot.

The result pushes Ohlone to 0-2-0 in conference play with their next game against Gavilan at home on Friday.
