Renegades qualify again for NorCal Regionals - earn numerous postseason honors.

The Ohlone Renegades wrapped up their 2019 Season as one of the top programs in Northern California, earning key wins throughout the season over American River, San Diego Mesa, and Modesto CC. The Renegades finished with a top 3 place in Conference and a top 6 ranking throughout Northern California.

After qualifying for the 2nd year in a row, Coach Youhanna said, "It's about the culture and student-athletes we're developing. We've recently had a wave of incoming student-athletes who want the best for not only themselves, but their teammates too. They come to practice everyday, willing to work to the best of their abilities, and have fun. As a coaching staff, we're extremely happy to see their hard work pay off. They deserve it."

This year, the Renegades tallied numerous individual accolades, with 4 Renegades earning All-Conference and All-NorCal Honors, while 2 were named as CCCAA All-Americans. Sophomore Aiden McBride was honored with the title of All-American for the second consecutive year, while Freshman Matthew Mendez earned his first All-American honor as well. Sophomore Nathan Clark was named back to All-NorCal Team for his 2nd consecutive season, while Freshman Shane Herup also earned All-NorCal Honors. All 4 aforementioned earned All-Coast Conference honors as well, with McBride finishing 3rd overall in votes throughout the Conference.

More importantly, the cumulative GPA amongst the 4 mentioned above stands at a 3.75. When asked about their success in the classroom, Youhanna went on to say, "It's wonderful they're putting themselves in a position to succeed academically. Although we're an intercollegiate athletic program, academics come first. I'm extremely excited for what the future holds for all these young men."

The Renegades' future looks bright with back-to-back NorCal Regional appearances, and striving to be back for their third year in a row next season. Although they'll graduate McBride and Clark, Ohlone will look to returning Sophomores, Mendez and Herup, to lead the Renegades in the water next season.
