Ohlone Softball Opens Coast-North Play with a 15-Run SMASH
OHLONE SOFTBALL OPENS COAST-NORTH PLAY WITH A 15-RUN SMASH
The Ohlone softball team scored 11 runs in the fourth inning en route to a 15-0 win over visiting Chabot on Feb. 28 in the teams' Coast-North openers.
This was a blowout by committee as several Renegades contributed. Ana Beard pitched three sterling innings with seven strikeouts and allowing one hit.
Shay Nassery, Kaia Johnson, Arrianna Whitlock and Lauryn Garcia delivered the goods on offense, going a combined 10 for 10 from the plate. The Renegades hammered out 14 hits overall.
Nassery was 3 for 3 with a triple, 2 RBI and two runs scored. Johnson was 2 for 2 with two walks, a double, three RBI and four runs scored. Whitlock was 3 for 3 with two doubles, two RBI and a run, and Garcia was 2 for 2 with a double, three RBI and three runs.
