Ohlone rallies late for walk-off wins to sweep doubleheader from Allan Hancock

FREMONT – Shortstop Izzy Reyes went a combined 5 for 8 while scoring four runs and driving in a pair to help lead Ohlone College to a doubleheader sweep of visiting Allan Hancock College on Friday.

The Renegades took both non-conference games by a final score of 4-3. Ohlone improved to 15-12 overall.

Reyes set the table from the leadoff spot to help the Renegades rally for come-from-behind wins in both contests. She went 2 for 4 with two runs, a stolen base and RBI in the opener and followed that with a 3 for 4 effort with a pair of runs, triple, and RBI in Game 2.

Ohlone trailed 2-0 in the opener after five innings before scoring twice in the sixth and seventh for the walk-off win. The Renegades were down 3-1 after five innings in Game 2 before once again putting up a pair of runs in the sixth and scoring the walk-off run in the seventh.

Emma Ham went the distance in the Game 1 win. She allowed 1 earned run and 5 hits while striking out 6 over 7 innings. Ari Herrera was the winner in the circle for Game 2, going 6 innings while allowing 2 earned runs and 5 hits.
