Bio

Coach Larry Heslin has been coaching at Ohlone since 2001 and took over the Women’s Soccer program in 2003. Since taking over the Lady Renegades have made the State Championship Playoffs in 11 of the 15 years.  He has been named Coast Conference Coach of the Year 3 times in his career. In 2015 Lady Renegades won the Coast Conference South Title while going undefeated in conference play.

Coach Heslin played at Ohlone College and helped lead the 1993 team to the State Final Four. After completing his time at Ohlone he transferred to Cal Poly SLO to complete his undergraduate and graduate work in Kinesiology. In 2017 he was hired full-time at Ohlone where he teaches a variety of classes including Health, Intro to Kinesiology, Total Fitness among others.

Outside of Ohlone Coach Heslin enjoys spending time with his family, wife Jill and daughter Abby. They enjoying traveling especially to Lake Tahoe. They enjoy going to all Bay Area sporting events especially the SF Giants games.

Coach Heslin loves being at Ohlone and has been part of the Renegade family since 1992 when he started his educational journey.
