Ohlone Finishes 2021 with Abundance of Honors

It was another banner season for the Ohlone College Baseball team, as the Renegades finished at the top of the standings for the fifth time in six seasons (the Renegades have captured the conference crown in 2015, 2017, 2018, 2019, and now 2021, with the 2020 season ending early due to COVID-19).  Ohlone, who didn’t get on the practice field until late-March this year, found a way to put together a 20-6 overall record and an impressive 14-5 record in the Coast Conference.

Several Renegades had outstanding seasons.  Tyler Stultz and Cooper Vasquez stood out on the mound for the Renegades (Stultz led the state of California in strikeouts while Vasquez led the state in wins), while several Renegades lit up the stat sheet offensively.  Ohlone led the conference in hitting for the sixth straight season as they finished with a combined average of .301.

Almost twenty players are playing around the state now in collegiate summer leagues.  After the players get some rest in August, they will be back to school and back on the field in September, to ready for their fifth straight conference crown.
