Renegades pick up 88-70 road win at Cosumnes River

SACRAMENTO – Matthew Villanueva scored a team-high 20 points while Jason Cibull added 18 points and 7 assists to help lead Ohlone College to an 88-70 non-conference win at Cosumnes River College on Tuesday night.
The victory snapped a two-game skid for the Renegades and approved them to 7-4 overall.
Ohlone held a narrow two-point advantage, 45-42 at halftime before pulling away in the second. Up 50-48 with 18 minutes to go, the Renegades put together an 11-0 run to put the game out of reach. Ohlone outscored CRC 43-27 over the final 20 minutes.
Nebiyu Teklemariam had a solid game with 14 points and 6 rebounds while Jude Jennings chipped in with 11 points and 6 boards. Adam Zalmai came off the bench to contribute 8 points.
Ohlone is back in action on Friday (Dec. 8) when the Renegades host San Joaquin Delta College in a 6 p.m. non-conference game.
