Renegades roll to sixth straight win; ranked No. 15 in first CCCMBCA state poll

FREMONT – Anthony Lacy came off the bench to score 29 points to help lead Ohlone College to its sixth straight win, a 92-77 victory at home over visiting Solano College on Friday night.
The Renegades 6-0 start to open the season hasn't gone unnoticed. On Monday, Ohlone was ranked No. 15 in the first California Community College Men's Basketball Coaches Association (CCCMBCA) State Top-30 Poll.
Third-year head coach Jordan Lee's squads have a history of fast starts. In his first season in 2022-23, the Renegades began with an 8-0 start. Last year, Ohlone won five of its first six contests.
On Friday, Lacy came up short of a double-double with 9 rebounds. He made 10 of 20 shots from the field and was a perfect 9 for 9 from the free throw line.
Devon Mack also made a big contribution from the bench, scoring 16 points. Omar Babikir added 11 points, 6 assists, and 5 rebounds while Michael Fastion had a team-high 14 rebounds to go with 9 points, 4 blocks, and 4 assists.
Last week, the Renegades also picked up a 95-63 victory over Monterey Peninsula College on Wednesday. Gabriel Lopez posted a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds. He also led all with 5 blocked shots.
Amos Hodgson totaled 15 points and 6 steals, Sam Manzo scored 14 points, and Lacy had 13 points and 5 boards.
Ohlone will look to keep the streak going on Friday (Nov. 22) when the Renegades travel to Napa Valley College for a 7 p.m. non-conference game.
