No. 19 Ohlone knocks off No. 13 Chabot to open Coast North play

HAYWARD – Anthony Lacy totaled 14 points, 8 rebounds, and 5 blocks to help lead No. 19 state-ranked Ohlone College to a 72-70 win at No. 13 Chabot College in both teams' Coast Conference North Division opener on Wednesday.
With the victory, the Renegades improved to 13-2 overall this season and 1-0 in the Coast North.
Ohlone trailed by one at halftime, 40-39, before rallying over the final 20 minutes to bring home the win.
The Renegades got numerous contributions in the victory. Gabriel Lopez led Ohlone with 18 points and 9 rebounds. Omar Babikir poured in 16 points and had 3 rebounds. Amos Hodgson added 10 points and 3 boards, Andrej Kuljic totaled 4 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 blocks, while Michael Fastion chipped in with 8 rebounds and 4 blocks.
Ohlone will look to keep the momentum going on Friday (Jan. 10) when the Renegades host Cañada College in a 7 p.m. Coast Conference North Division game.
