Renegades snap losing streak with 4-2 win over Siskiyous

FREMONT – A three-game Ohlone College losing streak finally came to an end thanks to the Renegades 4-2 victory over College of the Siskiyous on Friday.

Four difference Renegades scored in a physical contest that had a total of 11 cards issued.

Ohlone got off to a 2-0 lead after goals by Jonathan Amezcua early in the seventh minute and Jaime Lozano in the 20th minute.

The score remained 2-0 at halftime and until the 60th minute when Siskiyous got on the board thanks to a goal from Alfie Snow. Robert Sanchez extended the Ohlone lead back to two goals by scoring in the 82nd minute.

Snow knocked in a penalty kick goal for COS in the 85th minute but Jose Cameluaga-Rondon iced the Renegades win with his goal in the 88th minute.

Sanchez added two assists while Sebastian Velazquez and Mario Guillen also had assists. Pedro Velez earned the victory in goal for Ohlone as he totaled 3 saves.

Friday's win improved Ohlone to 2-4 overall. The Renegades return to action on Tuesday (Sep. 19) when they are scheduled to host Mendocino College in a non-conference game.
