FREMONT - The Ohlone College men's soccer team picked up its first win of the early season, taking down visiting Yuba College by a final score of 3-0 in the Renegades' home opener.
The Renegades got goals Leo Menjivar, Jonathan Perez, and Hugo Gallegos, while goalkeeper Amar Singh totaled four saves to post the shutout.
Ohlone heads coach Eric Silveira also praised "a great performance by captain Jorge Moreno in the center of midfield that helped push the team to victory."
The Renegades moved to 1-1 overall on the season. Ohlone is back in action on Friday when the squad travels to College of Marin for a 4 p.m. non-conference game.
