Renegades Participate in Two-Day Hawk Invite
Livermore - The Ohlone Swim Team traveled to Los Positas Community College for the 2025 Hawk Invite on March 28th and 29th. It is one of the few meets before the Coast Conference Championship where dropping time is becoming critical.
Highlights from the meet include swims from Freshman Ryin Ruaboro, Teddy Gregorian, and Junia Aristo Reyes, and Sophomore Teagan Rees
Ryin Ruaboro was entered as No Time for the 100 IM and then proceeded to break the meet record with a final time of 52.69, getting first place. He also placed first in the 50 back with a final time of 24.16, only 0.14 hundredths of a second away from the meet record. He swam the 2nd leg in the 400 free relay with a split of 46.18, the relay got 3rd overall.
Teddy Gregorian swam his first meet representing the Ohlone Swim team. He swam 4 races, all 50 yard individuals. He started with the 50 fly with a final time of 38.33, then swam the 50 free with a final time of 32.39. He swam 50 back with a final time of 39.35, ranking top 30 in the meet. He finished his races with 50 breast with a final time of 44.97.
Junia Aristo Reyes swam 7 events across the 2 day meet. On day 1 she swam the 100 back with a final time of 1:47.12. She swam the 50 free with a final time of 36.20, dropping 0.4 seconds off her seed time. She swam the first leg of the 400 free relay with a split of 1:24.43. Day 2 started with 50 back with a final time of 44.80, dropping 4 seconds off her seed time and then 50 breast with a final time of 54.33. Her last event was the 200 free relay, going 2nd with a split of 35.56.
Teagan Rees swam 8 events across the 2 day meet. Day 1 included the 200 medley relay, swimming a 35.44 split for breast. She then swam the 200 fly, setting an Ohlone top 5 time at 2:49.86. She swam the 100 breast with a final time of 1:17.29 and anchored the 400 free relay with a split of 1:05.42. Day 2 started with fly in the 400 medley relay with a split of 1:14.17. She then swam 50 breast, ranking 2nd overall with a final time of 35.00. 200 breast was after and her final time was 2:45.23, setting another top 5 Ohlone record. She ended with the 200 free relay, anchoring with a split of 28.80.
