Renegades Brave the Winter Weather At The Ohlone Invitational

Fremont - Ohlone's Swim team hosted their first home meet of the season at the Ohlone Invitational on March 14th, 2025. It marks the 4th consecutive week of swim meets and starts the one month timer until the Championship meet.

Highlights include swims from Sophomore Moataz Bayoumi and Martin Laus and Freshman Jasveen Toor and Angeline Ho.

Motaz participated in 3 relays, he swam fly in the 400 medley relay with a split of 55.67, the realms final time was 3:36.58. He swam the third leg of the 800 free relay with a split of 1:53.04, the relay's final time was 7:17.18. His last event was the 400 free relay where he anchored with a final time of 49.69, the relay's final time was 3:15.49. All 3 of his relays came in first place.

Martin participated in three individual events, swimming distance. He swam the 500 free with a final time of 6:32.44, placing 3rd and dropping 20 seconds off his seed time. He also swam the 200 breast with a final time of 3:19.76. His last event was the 400 IM, where he got a final time of 6:10.77, dropping 5 seconds off his seed time.

Jasveen swam her first meet representing Ohlone. She swam two individual events. She swam the 100 free with a final time of 1:46.53, being out-touched by her opponent by 20 hundredths of a second. She also swam 50 free with a final time of 44.06.

Angeline swam a mix of relays and individuals. She swam anchor in the 400 medley relay with a final relay time of 5:42.93. She swam 100 back, ranking top 5 with a final time of 1:19.08. She placed 2nd in the 50 free with a final time of 30.67. and 2nd in the 100 breast with a final time of 1:27.52. She swam the 3rd leg of the 400 free relay with a split of 59.20, the final relay time was 5:05.51.
