SAN BRUNO – The Ohlone College women's volleyball team put together a solid effort to win two out of its three matches at the Skyline College Classic on Friday.

The Renegades opened the event with a tough 3-0 (25-19, 25-23, 25-21) loss to College of the Siskiyous. But Ohlone responded with consecutive sweeps of host Skyline (25-16, 25-16, 25-22) and Contra Costa College (25-12, 25-10, 25-5).

Sophomore Gabriella Rachal and freshman Savannah Le both had big days for the Renegades. Over the three matches, Rachal posted 25 kills and 29 digs while Le totaled 25 kills, 25 digs, and 6 aces.

Ohlone improved to 8-7 overall after the day's action. The Renegades return to the court on Wednesday (Sep. 27) when they play at Monterey Peninsula College. First serve is set for 5:30 p.m.
