The Ohlone College women's volleyball team is back in the postseason for the first time since 2021. On Thursday, the Renegades were named the No. 16 seed for the upcoming Northern California Regional Playoffs. Postseason brackets were announced by the 3C2A for the both the north and south regions.

Ohlone will host No. 17 Monterey Peninsula College in a first-round match on Saturday, Nov. 23 at 7 p.m.

Ticket prices for the 3C2A postseason match are $13 for general admission and $9 for all identified students, faculty, staff, senior citizens age 60+, and children 9 years old and under.

Ohlone recently wrapped up an impressive regular season with a 22-7 overall record. After opening the schedule with a 4-2 record, the Renegades went on to win 12 straight matches. Under head coach Courtney Owyang-Paras, Ohlone finished third in the Coast Conference South Division at 7-3.

No. 17 Monterey Peninsula enters the postseason with a 15-6 overall record. The Lobos took second in the Coast Conference North Division at 8-2.  They enter Tuesday's contest riding a seven-match winning streak. MPC was battling for a conference title but lost its last two matches.

Saturday will mark the first meeting of the season between the two squads. The winner of the contest will advance to a second-round match on Nov. 26 at No. 1 Fresno City College. Three wins are needed by the Renegades to advance to the 3C2A State Championships on Dec. 6-8 at Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut.
