Ohlone edged in playoffs; earn 5 All-Coast Conference postseason honors

FRESNO – The 2023-24 Ohlone College men's basketball season came to a close with the Renegades' 85-82 loss at Fresno City College in Round 1 of the Northern California Regional Playoffs on Wednesday.

An amazing second-half comeback came up just short. No. 23-seeded Ohlone trailed No. 10 Fresno 52-26 at halftime before the Renegades turned it around in the second. Despite outscoring Fresno 56-33 over the final 20 minutes, the 26-point deficit was too much to overcome.

Jude Jennings had a huge game with 28 points. Jason Cibull added 10 points and 8 assists while Nebiyu Teklemariam totaled 12 points and 9 boards.

The Renegades made their second straight postseason appearance under second-year head coach Jordan Lee. Ohlone closed with a 14-15 overall record and went 4-8 in the Coast Conference North Division.

Following the close of the regular season, the Renegades received five All-Coast Conference North Division postseason honors.
